E.R. Probe
Electrical resistance (ER) probe basically measures the corrosion rate by tracking resistance increase related with material loss due to the corrosive attack in a thin metal probe.
Corrosion rate can be measured at successive time intervals (at least in Continuous Mode).
High pressure ER probe assembly is composed of the probe itself, access fitting, Hollow Plug and Heavy Duty Cover with hole.
Insertion and extraction are realized by means of a Retriever Tool.
ER probe is composed by a probe body of length determined by the process conditions and by a sensing element, that could be wire loop or tubular type.
Although the extractable ER probe is the standard, it is possible supply also ER fixed probe. This kind of probe is permanently immersed in the fluid and its replacement is possible only when the plant is not working.
